Faye Kennelly is a New Orleans based yankee raised Art Therapist and Ceramicist. She graduated from Rhode Island College in 2010 with a B.A. in Studio Art and and a concentration in sculpture. She later went on to pursue a masters degree in Art Therapy Counseling, graduating in 2014. In her early 30's she revisited pottery for the first time in nearly a decade and since then has continued to work with the media consistently. In 2019 she relocated to New Orleans, LA from Austin, TX. She's been living in the south for 8 years collectively. Faye's work both invites and simultaneously repels physical intimacy, it’s evocative and animated. Faye's relationship to the creative process is intuitive and demands presence, something that isn't as readily accessible in other areas of her life. Faye believes her work invites curiosity, as a means to explore relational engagement and attunement through tactile sensory exploration. Faye believes that making art is dangerous and revealing and this is what she loves most about doing it.
