Stoneware/Glazes
Wheel Thrown and Fired in Reduction to Cone 10
“I’m a Miami based potter and professor of Ceramics at Miami Dade College. I exhibit my works at a variety of shows throughout the US and actively work with companies and designers to produce unique pieces. I earned a BFA from the University of Central Florida and an MFA from the University of Miami. All pots are wheel thrown using stoneware or porcelain and fired to cone 10 reduction.
My intention is to create pottery that’s unique, inviting and elegant. I am interested in familiar forms and the challenge of transforming them into art. Making handmade pottery creates a dialog about my life as an artist, the pottery I make, and the people who use them. I hope that this dialog promotes a greater appreciation and understanding of handmade objects and how they help us celebrate our daily lives.”
