I am a graphic designer, illustrator and ceramics artist born and raised in central Louisiana and currently residing in New Orleans. I received my BFA in Graphic Design from LSU in 2014 and have maintained a steady creative career ever since. In 2022, I took my first pottery class. After so many years making art for a living, I was seeking a new outlet that would rekindle my creative drive. I quickly became enamored with the medium of clay, looking forward to growing my skills at wheel throwing in my classes each week. The majority of my vessels are wheel thrown and then manipulated with hand building techniques to add a decorative quality to them. In April of 2025, I held the first show of my work, which was titled Relic Quest. This collection of work combined my love of retro sword and sorcery fantasy with gothic aesthetics and themes of nature reclamating mankind’s monuments. A love of nature is a common theme in my work, demonstrated by the mushroom mugs I have submitted. I study mycology as a hobby and in the process of creating these cups, I observe the details of shelf fungi carefully to get details right. Cups are, by far, my favorite pieces to make. I enjoy that they are utilitarian items that people live with and use in their day-to-day life, yet still give a person the opportunity to communicate something about their personality. I strive to make cups that are enjoyable to use in a tactile sense and serve as conversation pieces.
