Geetha Yedurappa
With two decades of experience as a computer science engineer, I spent much of my life solving problems in the world of technology. When I discovered clay, I found a new language — one rooted not in code, but in touch, form, and rhythm. Clay became my way to slow down, listen, and translate the beauty of my surroundings into something tangible.

Artist Statement
The Southern landscape — with its quiet woods, open skies, and deer moving gently through the trees — is my greatest inspiration. Living in Georgia, I am drawn to the patterns, textures, and fleeting moments that nature offers.

My process is slow and intentional. I hand-build each form, allowing for subtle curves and organic shapes that feel alive and warm in the hands rather than perfectly uniform. The tactile experience is essential — I want my work to invite holding, turning, and feeling. On these surfaces, I hand-draw and paint, either using underglaze or colored slips, layering lines, marks, and colors as a way of observing and honoring the natural world. The surfaces are alive with gesture and carry the unique charm of the handmade.

These pieces are meant to be both functional and poetic — vessels that hold not just food or drink but a small sense of connection to place, to the beauty of imperfection, and to the touch of the maker.
