Maranda Powers is a multidisciplinary artist living in New Orleans. She is a seamstress, metal smith, and ceramicist. Maranda is curious about all forms of working with clay and has recently been exploring slip casting, 3d printing, and wild clay. Her work plays with the boundaries between art and craft, hobbyist and professional, challenging established hierarchies and traditions.
Maranda holds a B.A. in Studio Art and is currently working towards a second B.A. in Health and Wellness. She is interested in the role that making and creativity can play in mental and physical well-being.
