Born and raised in Alabama, Glynnis has lived in New Orleans since 2014. She takes inspiration from her love of tropical flora and fauna in the Southeastern US. Vibrant colors and intricate details of plants and insects are expressed through form and surface decoration in her work. Her work is wheel-thrown and hand built mid-range stoneware, which she creates and fires at the studio she owns and shares with other members of the New Orleans Clay Collective. She is largely a self-taught potter, having taken her first community classes in 2012.
