Stump Tumbler, 2025, ceramics, woodfire, 4.5"h x 3.5"w
Zach Wollert is an artist, educator, and collaborator living in Little Rock, Arkansas working at the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts. With a deep rooted passion for clay, Zach has been dedicated to the ceramic arts for over 25 years, a commitment that began in his formative years in Portland, Oregon. His journey into ceramics was shaped by the influence of skilled woodfire ceramic artists in Elkton, Oregon, where he honed his craft and nurtured his desire to pursue the medium professionally. Influenced by the outdoors, Wollert hand crafts his stump cups and tumblers with a specifically formulated clay body that, when fired in a wood kiln, produces the colors of moss growth over the trees within damp dense forests.
